Roscommon ran out worthy winners at O'Donnell Park

A late scoring burst was not enough for Donegal as Roscommon ran out worthy winners at O'Donnell Park.

John Coyne's 19th-minute goal and some great point-scoring by Gary Fallon helped the visitors to a 1-10 to 1-3 interval lead.

They had stretched the lead to 1-14 to 0-7 with eight minutes left.

Donegal staged a remarkable late comeback with points from Sean McVeigh and Niall Campbell followed by goals from Lee Henderson and Enda McDermott, but they just came up short.
