Roscommon had too much to do against Mayo

Losing a player after 14 minutes on a second yellow card left Roscommon with too much to do against Mayo in this clash at Tooreen yesterday.

Gary Fallon was sent off on a double yellow when the sides were level on 0-3 apiece and Mayo took control, leading by 0-7 to 0-4 at the interval.

Mayo piled on the pressure in the second half. A late Roscommon penalty from Michael Kelly put a better gloss on matters, but Mayo were always in control. Roscommon had two more players sent off, Jason Moran and Kevin Conneely, while Mayo's Stephen Connell was also dismissed near the end of game.
