Cork and Galway will meet in the hurling championship qualifiers for the third time in four years next weekend after yesterday's draw paired them together. Limerick will meet Antrim in the other phase three qualifier.
The GAA, who will decide on the venues later today, face a problem in fixing the Galway-Cork tie because the Galway footballers are in action against Meath in Navan next Saturday night.
However, playing the game on Sunday seems a non-runner as that would mean a clash with the Munster hurling final. Fixing the game for the Gaelic Grounds on Saturday evening seems the most likely outcome.
Limerick's hurlers could end up on the same billing as the Galway footballers in Navan, but Parnell Park is another option.
Phase Three draw: Cork v Galway; Limerick v Antrim.
