O'Callaghan haul downs Offaly

Dublin 1-21 Offaly 1-11

CON O'CALLAGHAN hit 1-5 from play as Dublin produced a comprehensive second-half display in Tullamore.

When Cillian Kiely goaled from a penalty in the second minute it looked as if Offaly meant business, but Dublin kept the scoreboard ticking over while playing against the wind, ensuring Offaly only led 1-8 to 0-10 at the break.

The Dubs upped the ante after the break and led 0-13 to 1-8 just four minutes into the second half.

Last year's beaten All-Ireland finalists went on to stretch their lead before O'Callaghan put the icing on the cake with a low drive to the net in the 55th minute.

Dublin march on to the semi-finals while Offaly have a second bite at the cherry.
