O Conghaile brace for Northside

Dublin North will play Good Counsel in the first round on Saturday after first-half goals from Eoin O Conghaile (two) and Eoghan Smith sealed victory over rivals Dublin South in a Group Team Qualifier played at Alfie Byrne Park.

Dublin North were eight points to the good inside 10 minutes and held a 17-point lead (3-12 to 0-4) heading into the second half.

After the restart, Dublin North continued to dominate and opened up a 27-point gap over their overwhelmed opponents.

Despite a late rally by the southsiders, Dublin North were never in any real trouble and sent out a clear message of intent to Good Counsel.
