Moloney stars as Celbridge edge it

MAN of the match Mark Moloney scored five points as reigning champions Celbridge secured their second successive crown in Newbridge.

After a lively opening quarter Celbridge led by 0-5 to 0-4, but scores then stopped flowing and it was just 0-7 to 0-6 for the winners at the break.

Tony Murphy fired over in the 42nd minute to give the reigning champions a three-point cushion, 0-9 to 0-6.

Coill Dubh were unable to get in front as the sides went score for score and two late Moloney points helped Celbridge edge it.
