McHugh inspires Monaghan march

Monaghan moved a step closer to the division final with a strong second-half display at Healy Park.

A second successive defeat has ended Tyrone's hopes of reaching the decider, but they were well placed at half-time when they led by 1-9 to 0-8, Aidan Kelly drilling home the goal.

But Monaghan dominated the second half, conceding just one point. Mickey McHugh swept over a succession of frees and Stephen Lambe added a couple of neat points.
