Kilkenny clubs maintained their dominance of the Leinster JHC when John Lockes scored an emphatic 16-point victory over Drumcullen at Rath to bring the title back to the county for the eighth time in nine years.
The first half only managed to produce one score from play but it was a decisive score as Simon Burke's ninth-minute shot ended up in the Drumcullen net to help the Kilkenny side to a 1-5 to 0-3 interval lead.
Owen McGrath scored all his points from frees, with Conor Gath getting four Drumcullen frees.
Drumcullen needed a good start to the second half but it didn't come and when Shane Bergin scored John Lockes' second goal 12 minutes after the break to put his side 11 points up, there was no way back for Drumcullen .
