A five-star performance from captain Noel McGrath ensured Tipperary a place in the semi-finals as the sharpshooter grabbed 1-8 in just over 40 minutes of action at Cusack Park, Mullingar on Saturday.
Four second-half goals were also a considerable help to Tipperary who looked impressive and very sharp following their Munster Final defeat at the hands of Cork.
McGrath shot five first-half points to leave his side in front by 0-10 to 0-2. And, upon the turnaround, Tipp hit two goals in six minutes from Michael Sheedy -- nephew of senior boss Liam Sheedy -- and the aforementioned McGrath to end the game as a contest.
Tipp had a third goal from corner forward Ciaran Shelly in the 22nd minute to add to Antrim's woes and a fourth from sub Ruairi Gleeson right at the very death.
The Premier County will face sterner tests than this, but they had impressive displays from McGrath, Shelly, John O'Neill, Kevin O'Gorman and Thomas Butler, while sub Ciaran Morris was also very prominent.
For a disappointing Antrim, Michael Dallat, Stephen Shannon, Tony McCloskey and Conor McCleland were best.
