Goals in either half from David O'Callaghan and Conor McCormack proved crucial as Dublin beat an understrength Antrim by seven points in the quarter-final at Parnell Park yesterday afternoon.

The visitors started brightly and raced into an early three-point lead, with late replacement Neil McManus adding a brace of scores in addition to Christopher McGuinness' 16th-minute point.

Dublin were struggling to impose themselves in the early stages but received a much-needed boost when O'Callaghan pounced to sweep home in the 23rd minute after a Conal Keaney free had rebounded off the upright.

Keaney's former football team-mate Shane Ryan was the most impressive attacker, with the Naomh Mearnog man helping himself to three points in a busy display from wing-forward.

Leading by 1-4 to 0-5 at the interval, Dublin resumed in impressive fashion and McCormack's goal a minute after the restart confirmed their progress, with Galway providing the opposition in the semi-final next weekend at Parnell Park.
