The Leinster Poc Fada event, which will take place in St Mullins, Carlow tonight, will be an "on the road" event featuring representatives from all 12 counties from the province.

The course covers three and a half miles and it is estimated that it will take up to 90 minutes to complete. Each county will be represented by pairs who will alternate between 'striking' and 'stopping' duties in their attempts to win the Ollie Walsh perpetual trophy.

A celebrity event will also take place featuring former Wexford hurlers George O'Connor and Tom Dempsey and James McGarry from Kilkenny.
