King rules over Donegal

Armagh 2-20 Donegal 1-6

Armagh powered to victory over Donegal last night in Omagh, with the slick Orchard side turning on the style in the second half.

Donegal caught their opponents cold with a third minute goal by Barry McMenamin.

But James King, Tony Duffy and Martin Maguire scored two points each to help Armagh to a 0-8 to 1-2 lead at the break.

Another dominant spell saw them hit 1-3 in the opening 10 minutes of the second half, with King finishing to the net for a 1-11 to 1-3 advantage. Ciaran Mathewson pulled back four points for Donegal, but Armagh finished the job off with a Michael Leeman goal two minutes from time.
