Kerry land third title in a row

SHANE NOLAN proved the difference between the sides as he inspired Kerry to a third successive Bord Gáis Energy All-Ireland under 21 'B' hurling championship title at Semple Stadium yesterday evening.

The Crotta O'Neills forward, 20, scored 0-11 as the Kingdom secured a four-point victory against Westmeath.

Remarkably, Nolan has played in each of the last three years for Kerry's successful under 21 teams and is eligible once again for this grade next year.

Kerry, who led by 0-9 to 0-7 at half-time, pulled further clear in the second half before Westmeath midfielder Aonghus Clarke grabbed a consolation goal in the final minute.
