Kelly brace decisive for Calry

Calry-St Joseph's 2-7 Tubbercurry 0-12

Calry-St Joseph's made hard work of this victory at Markievicz Park.

Tommy Kelly shot a goal in each half to keep Tubbercurry at arm's length. The winners were also inspired by outstanding team captain Keith Raymond, who scored three points in each half.

Leading 1-4 to 0-3 at the break, Calry also had Kelly to thank nine minutes into the second period for another green-flag score.

A 57th-minute red card for Calry's Ronan Cox gave Tubbercurry a numerical advantage, but they couldn't capitalise on it in the seventh county final meeting of these clubs, despite fine points from Fabio Cretaro -- brother of Sligo Rovers ace Rafael -- and Declan Loughnane.
