Kelly back for Deise
THERE IS no starting place for Waterford veteran Tony Browne in the Munster SHC semi-final against Clare, but Eoin Kelly returns.
Kelly was dropped by Michael Ryan when he took over the reins last winter but recalled late in their league campaign. Ryan has given Munster debuts to corner-back Stephen Daniels (De La Salle), U-21 'keeper Stephen O'Keeffe (Ballygunner) and teenage corner-forward Gavin O'Brien (Roanmore).
Meanwhile, Joe Canning is back for the Galway hurlers against Offaly in one of three changes made to the side who beat Westmeath. Conor Cooney replaced Canning before throw-in last time out and has retained a place at corner-forward instead of Davy Glennon. 'Keeper James Skehill returns from a long injury to replace Fergal Flannery and Joseph Cooney comes in at wing-back, replacing Paul Gordon.
Elsewhere, Offaly have named an unchanged side from the one that beat Wexford, while Meath have one change for their replay against Carlow, with Damien Carroll (Ballinabrackey) replacing Paddy Gilsenan.
Carlow's bid to get Derek Hayden and Paul Reid cleared to play failed late last night when the Central Hearings Committee refused their appeals against last weekend's red cards.
Carlow have also lost Daniel St Ledger to a torn hamstring and both of the Murphy brothers -- Brendan (concussed) and Brian (dead leg) -- are doubtful.
