Griffin & co fit the Wexford bill

Liam Griffin, Billy Byrne and Darragh Ryan are aboard the committee set-up in Wexford to find a replacement for Colm Bonnar as senior hurling team manager. Griffin will chair the group and the word is that a Wexford man will be given the job this time.

Let's see now, who would be good candidates? What about the man who led Wexford to their last All-Ireland title in 1996, assisted by one of his trusty aides who played a major role as a super-sub and another man who later went on to become one of the country's top full-backs.

Their names? Liam Griffin, Billy Byrne, Darragh Ryan. It seems to us that the best option is for the appointers to become the appointees.
