Gannon blitz leaves Garden in tatters
Corner-forward Adam Gannon was the goal-den boy as the Royals dished out a 30-point hammering in Aughrim last night.
Gannon taunted and tormented Wicklow's defence from the start until he was substituted -- and he finished with a superb 3-4.
He was aided and abetted in this massacre by his wing-forward Mark Sullivan, who accounted for another 1-6 of their total, but in truth Meath held the upper hand in every position.
Yet Wicklow started as if they were going to give the Royals a game of it and they were just one point behind, 0-3 to 0-4 at the end of the first quarter, corner-forward Mikey Lee scoring three smashing frees.
Meath await the winners of Kildare and Westmeath in the final.
