Game at a glance - Laois v Kildare
Player of the Match
Siobhán Hurley (Kildare)
A hugely effective link player from centre-forward, the dual star contributed five points, with three of those coming from play.
Susie O'Carroll's two goals in a minute, almost immediately after Grace O'Neill's goal at the other end had left just a point separating the sides.
Kildare's continuing rise up the camogie ladder in the past six years that has seen them go from Division 4 of the league to this year's Division 2 final, having won the All-Ireland junior A crown in 2010.
O'Carroll's first goal was perfectly crafted, with Róisín O'Connell batting the sliotar intelligently into the path of Melissa Lyons, who drew the cover and timed her pass perfectly to give the full-forward the opportunity.
David Ryan handled the game well and was always in control.

Mattie Collier (Laois):
"They won a lot of the 50-50 balls, but the girls fought hard, trained hard all year and sometimes you have to lose one to win one."
