Fitzgerald's ban reduced
Waterford hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald has had his proposed three-month ban reduced to just one month by the Central Hearings Committee.
Fitzgerald took the option of having a hearing with the CHC and stood before them late on Friday night. He was handed the reprieve after a meeting that lasted three hours.
The former Clare goalkeeper had been reported for abusive language towards referee James Owens after Waterford's league defeat by Tipperary two weeks ago.
