Dunne's late strike seals Glenealy three-in-a-row
Glenealy secured a third title in a row in a hard-fought final in Aughrim.
Eoin Dunne delivered the knockout blow four minutes from the end when he drilled to the net to put Glenealy four points clear.
Carnew battled manfully in a lively encounter but ultimately paid the price for the lack of support they could give talismanic full-forward Don Hyland, who scored all but one of their points in a magnificent display of free-taking.
The sides were level on seven occasions, with Carnew 0-7 to 0-6 ahead at half-time.
Glenealy hit back four times to level the scores and the sides were deadlocked at 0-10 apiece as the game went into the last quarter.
Wayne O'Gorman then edged Glenealy in front, and corner-back Mark Collins and Hyland were off target from decent chances as Carnew went in search of an equaliser.
The battle raged on before Dunne pounced, blasting a ground shot to the net from the right to seal the result.
