Deise feel sting of Cats' Ali jibe

A momentous Munster win for Waterford then, but still no denying where the true hurling confidence lies.

On Saturday night in Thurles, Tony Browne Snr recounted a chance encounter with a former Kilkenny stalwart between the drawn game and replay.

"Is it true that boxer fella, Bernard Dunne, has been in talking to the Waterford team?" the Kilkenny man queried.

Browne Snr confirmed that, indeed, the former world champion had been in to address Davy Fitzgerald's charges.

"Well," the old Cat opined, "if you ask me, ye could get Muhammad Ali in and ye still wouldn't win anything!"

Could it be that a September rebuke looms?
