Veronica Curtin repeated her heroics from the bench of last week, scoring 1-3 after being sprung in the 48th minute to rescue Galway and earn them a 1-10 to 1-7 victory over Clare in the second round of the All-Ireland senior camogie championship.
Fiona Lafferty had been inspirational for the Bannerwomen as they led by three points at the break and a goal from a Chloe Morey penalty meant they were still in front with time running out.
Noel Finn summoned the 1995 All-Ireland winner and once again she answered the call, ending a fine move with a blistering shot to the Clare net. She followed up with three points to give the Tribeswomen their second win of the campaign.
Elsewhere, Kilkenny beat Dublin by 2-12 to 1-2 with goals from Aoife Neary and Aine Fahey, Wexford scored a 0-14 to 1-8 victory over Cork, and Tipperary prevailed over Offaly in a thriller, 3-14 to 1-14.
