Cummins and Cusack return

Hurling's most decorated goalkeepers will make their seasonal competitive reappearances this weekend as Brendan Cummins and Donal Og Cusack return to lift their respective counties, writes Colm Keys.

Cusack returns as Cork 'keeper for Sunday's home clash with Galway, displacing Martin Coleman in a much changed Cork side from that which lost to Kilkenny in the last round.

And Cummins is also back as Declan Ryan introduces a new full- forward line for the visit of Waterford to Thurles after a disappointing defeat to Dublin. Pa Bourke, a half-forward in Croke Park, moves into the left corner, with Brian O'Meara and Paul Kelly also included.

Four of the Cork subs in Nowlan Park -- Jerry O'Connor, Cian McCarthy, Tom Kenny and Conor O'Sullivan -- have all been retained. Graham Callinan, Brian Murphy, Ben O'Connor, Ronan Curran, Michael Cussen and Shane Murphy are among those who make way. There's a new-look midfield with Jerry O'Connor being joined by Pa Cronin.

Noel Carton takes over as Wexford 'keeper for Sunday's trip to Nowlan Park. Ciarán Kenny moves to corner-back, Michael Jacob returns at midfield, while Éanna Martin replaces Rory Jacob.
