Corvan's rapid brace proves pivotal
Two goals in 60 seconds early in the second half put Armagh firmly in control in Athleague.
The hosts had led by four points at the break, 1-8 to 0-7, but that was quickly overturned when Armagh's Conor Corvan found the net in the 44th and 45th minutes.
A third goal followed in the 51st minute, from Declan Coulter, to give them a seven-point cushion.
The Rossies hit an unanswered 1-2 in a brief rally, the goal coming from Micheal Kelly, but Armagh turned the screw again, scoring five straight points to seal victory. A ninth-minute goal from Cormac Kelly put the Rossies in the ascendancy in the opening half.
But a tally of 10 wides cost them, and Armagh always looked likely to overturn the deficit in the second half with the wind at their backs.
