1999 All-Ireland final

Cork 0-13 Kilkenny 0-12

A tense encounter on a wet afternoon in Croke Park saw Kilkenny lead by four points approaching the final quarter but Cork finished strongly and edged to victory.

2001 All-Ireland semi-final

Galway 2-15 Kilkenny 1-13

Galway had corner-back Gregory Kennedy sent off before half-time but drove on with Eugene Cloonan scoring 2-9.

2004 Leinster semi-final

Wexford 2-15 Kilkenny 1-16

Kilkenny's first defeat in the Leinster championship since 1997.

They led by a point late on but Michael Jacob intervened in the final minute, whipping home the winning goal for Wexford.

2004 All-Ireland final

Cork 0-17 Kilkenny 0-9

A second championship defeat in less than three months. They led by a point at half-time but Cork outscored the reigning champions 0-11 to 0-2 in the second half.

2005 All-Ireland semi-final

Galway 5-18 Kilkenny 4-18

Galway led by 2-11 to 3-5 at half-time and by 5-17 to 3-12 after 57 minutes before Kilkenny staged a brave recovery in what was DJ Carey's final game.

2010 All-Ireland final

Tipperary 4-17 Kilkenny 1-18

Kilkenny were level early in the second half before goals from Lar Corbett (2) and Noel McGrath wrecked their five-in-a-row bid.

2012 Leinster final

Galway 2-21 Kilkenny 2-11

Galway led by 2-11 to 0-1 after 30 minutes and by 2-12 to 0-4 at half-time to set the platform for an easy victory
