Clabby leads charge

An Aodhan Clabby-inspired St Benildus produced a rampant display at O'Toole Park to claim the title.

Benildus got off to a dream start, scoring nine points without reply in the opening 16 minutes, with five points coming from the superb Clabby.

St Fintan's then missed a penalty and Benildus piled on further agony. A brace of scores from Clabby and powerful centre-back Niall Carr, along with a well-worked goal by Conor Devins, helped them towards an insurmountable 1-17 to 0-1 lead at the break.

Fintan's improved a bit on the resumption, with Eoghan Smyth producing some fine scores, but they were always fighting a losing battle.
