Cats' clean sweep bid ends in drama

KILDANGAN 2-13 CARRICKSHOCK 1-13 KILKENNY'S hopes of a clean sweep of All-Ireland senior, junior and intermediate hurling club titles were dashed when Tipperary champions Kildangan netted two goals in injury-time to stun Carrickshock in a thrilling intermediate final at Thurles yesterday.

Two minutes into injury-time, Dara Egan blasted home an equalising goal. And Carrickshock were left dumbfounded when Connor Hayes sealed a sensational win with a second goal in the 65th minute.
