Wexford put some lethargic performances behind them by slamming Tipperary by 5-11 to 0-10 in the All-Ireland senior championship.
The champions were bristling with intent and Una Leacy scored a goal within 18 seconds. The game was over by the end of the opening quarter, as Wexford led by 3-3 to 0-0.
Further goals from Lenny Holahan, Evelyn Quigley and Ursula Jacob had Wexford ahead by 4-7 to 0-4 at half-time. Leacy added a second goal after the break.
Denise Gaule fired six points from play and Grace Walsh added a late goal as Kilkenny beat Clare 2-15 to 2-8 at Nowlan Park. The Banner goals came from Naomi Carroll and Chloe Morey, either side of a Áine Fahey green flag.
Elsewhere, Cork crushed Offaly 6-27 to 0-10 in Birr, with Katrina Mackey scoring 2-4 from play, while Veronica Curtin and Aislinn Connolly hit goals as Galway beat Dublin 2-18 to 0-6.
