Cadden goals help to sink Tyrone
Sligo retained their third flight place -- and relegated their opponents Tyrone to the bottom tier in the process -- thanks to an impressive second-half display at Markievicz Park yesterday.
It wasn't all as easy as the final scoreline suggests and Ryan Woods' 28th minute goal helped Tyrone into a 1-6 to 0-5 lead.
Sligo responded through a 31st-minute Larry Cadden goal and the hosts led 1-10 to 1-7 at half-time.
However, Sligo upped the pace and were the stronger side on the restart, with Aidan Walsh grabbing the home side's second goal on 52 minutes.
Cadden then added a third in second-half added time as Sligo eased their way to safety and a ten-point victory.
