Burke points Thurles in the right direction

Thurles CBS 1-17 Charleville 0-9 COUNTY minor Pa Burke led the charge as Thurles CBS brushed aside the challenge of Charleville in yesterday's Dr Harty Cup SHC quarter-final at Claughan.

Thurles led by 0-9 to 0-3 at the interval with Burke getting three of the scores. Burke fired over a further four points from play in the second half as Thurles pulled further ahead.

Substitute John O'Neill wrapped up the victory with a goal eight minutes from time after a long delivery from full-back Padraic Maher.
