Brigid's refuse to buckle

St Brigid's 3-11
Colaiste Mhuire 2-11
All-Ireland VS JHC Final

Jamie Ryan sealed victory with a late goal as St Brigid's, Loughrea, claimed the title at Banagher.

St Brigid's led by 1-4 to 0-6 at the break, with Darragh Dolan's goal after 11 minutes giving them an early foothold.

Midway through the second half St Brigid's struck a massive blow when Brian Molloy rifled a shot past Eoin Lyons to make it 2-6 to 0-8, but five minutes from time another goal from Darren Brennan brought Colaiste Mhuire back to within two points. However, Brigid's refused to buckle under the pressure and went straight up the field, where Ryan found the net from an acute angle.

A late goal from a 20-metre free from Jason Stanley gave Colaiste Mhuire hope, but St Brigid's put the tie beyond doubt with Molloy's fifth free of the game.
