Boyle brace makes it Saints' day

St John's 2-11
Eire Og 1-11
Ulster Club IHC Final

Liam Boyle found the back of the net twice early on as St John's, Belfast, saw off the challenge of Eire Og, Carrickmore, at Casement Park.

Conor Grogan replied with a goal and a point to leave Eire Og trailing 2-4 to 1-6 at the break.

In the 38th minute, the Tyrone men had an excellent chance of grabbing the lead, but Justin Kelly's penalty shot was pushed over the bar, before St John's rattled off three points in a row to settle matters.
