Weights point to victory for Big Bad Lily
Ken Condon and Shane 'Dusty' Foley are trusted to deliver the nap with Big Bad Lily on tomorrow's distinctly low-key spread at Dundalk.
Of the selection's eight rivals in the five-furlong Crowne Plaza Hotel Handicap, few boast recent form of any note. Summer Isles is the exception on the back of her emphatic win at Bellewstown last month, but Pat Flynn's three-year-old filly has it all to do now, conceding weight all round to older rivals off a 15lb higher mark.
While Big Bad Lily hasn't been hitting the headlines either, her latest fifth-place finish behind Ucanchoose at Tipperary in July was her best performance so far this year. That form has since been complemented by the second and third – Judies Child and Sassaway – yet Condon's charge has been dropped 1lb to 59 in the interim.
In the opening conditions race over the same trip, Eddie Lynam's Yulong Baoju appeals as a particularly robust option at the weights under Pat Smullen, while apprentice stars Connor King and Colin Keane could take consecutive handicaps on Fairy Court and Campestral Scene.
