There is a fantastic Flat card with a host of European contenders at Sha Tin in Hong Kong tomorrow morning.
It will be fascinating to see how Galileo Rock, Simenon and Gordon Lord Byron fare in their respective Group One races, but the Irish raiders with most going for them may be Eddie Lynam's Sprint duo, Slade Power and Sole Power.
While the progressive Slade Power is shorter in the betting on the back of his Ascot coup in October, the 16/1 about his more seasoned stablemate looks too big.
Granted, Sole Power is a ball of speed that has still to win over this six-furlong trip, but that has a lot to do with circumstance.
The last time he ran over six in the July Cup, the leaders had got away on him by the time he got out. However, he needs to be delivered late like that, and the way he kept on at Newmarket suggested he certainly stays the trip.
With the ground due to ride suitably firm, it is worth speculating that he will improve for last year's fair showing under Johnny Murtagh.
