DUNTLE can deliver Wayne Lordan his second Group One win when the partnership tackles tomorrow's Prix Rothschild in Deauville.
David Wachman has done a fine job with the chestnut four-year-old, her only setback in four outings since landing the Sandringham at Royal Ascot last year coming when she was demoted by the Leopardstown stewards after passing the post in front in the Matron Stakes last September.
That confirmed that Duntle had the class to compete at this level and she has continued to progress since, winning both her starts this term, including the old Windsor Forest Stakes at Ascot last month.
Dank, third then, franked that form nicely at the Curragh last weekend. Granted, Lordan's mount will need to improve again if she is to account for Elusive Kate tomorrow.
However, she has the scope to do so and she shouldn't be inconvenienced by ground that is expected to ride on the slow side.
