Watching brief

Richard Forristal

Maybe heads the market to regain the winning thread in next Friday's Epsom Oaks.

Beaten for a first time when third in the 1,000 Guineas, she is reckoned to be the Ballydoyle first string, but she is out of a mare that never won beyond five furlongs and travels accordingly.

However, her stablemate Kissed, likewise by the Derby winner Galileo, has plenty stamina on the dam's side, and looked a serious prospect when making it two from two by hosing up on her reappearance at Navan in April.

As big as 6/1, Kissed can go close in Friday's Classic, though she will be trading a lot shorter by then if Joseph O'Brien opts for her in the meantime.
