While Quevega is the one to beat in the mares' race at Cheltenham, winning three on the bounce at the Festival isn't easy. With a number of other mares impressing this term, the 2011 renewal could be the best yet, and there is value to be found elsewhere.

The rapidly improving Sparky May appeals at 8/1. Trained by Patrick Rodford, the six-year-old brought her unbeaten hurdling run to four when toppling Carole's Legacy at Ascot last week. That one, remember, got closest to Quevega last March, so Sparky May won't need to progress much further to compete.
