WATCH - Irish jockey Robbie Dunne flung from horse 50 yards from winning post with race at his mercy

Irish jockey Robbie Dunne was unseated just 50 yards from the finish line today in the Shottle Hall Juvenile Maiden Hurdle in Uttoxeter with the race at his mercy.

Dunne -riding Red Hot Chilly - was on course to win the race, and was 1.5 lengths ahead when he struggled to keep his balance.

Dunne performed a remarkable recovery in this year's Aintree Grand National, which AP McCoy called the best recovery he'd ever seen, but the Irish jockey couldn't save himself today.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained Centuro benefited from Dunne's misfortune and went on to win the race.

It was O'Neill's 2,000th British jumps winner.
