The performance of A Genie In Abottle on Saturday was quite typical of this son of Beneficial.

Predictably, Bryan Cooper grabbed the bull by the horns, kicking the Gigginstown runner straight into the lead in a hot maiden chase at Fairyhouse.

Backed from 3/1 into 2/1, A Genie In Abottle put in a superb round of leaping. Mall Dini was beaten as far out as the third-last and Blazer, another useful sort, could make no impression.

On a line through Mall Dini, A Genie In Abottle is theoretically Grade One class on the basis of this win, but Noel Meade mentioned going for the four-mile National Hunt Novice Chase at Cheltenham - a class below a Grade One. He is a big price.

BET: A Genie In Abottle to win the National Hunt Novice Chase, 1pt win 20/1
