Reckless prospects 'exciting'
Clive Cox is hoping for another "exciting performance" from Reckless Abandon when he puts his unbeaten record on the line in today's Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte.
The youngster grabbed Royal Ascot glory in the Norfolk Stakes -- a victory that was all the more remarkable as Reckless Abandon hung violently left entering the last of the five furlongs.
"I've been very pleased with him since Ascot, very pleased indeed. He's stepping up half a furlong, but that shouldn't be a problem and he gets into the race without a penalty.
"We're all very excited about him and we hope he can produce another exciting performance," trainer Cox said.
Meanwhile, Eddie Harty reports Captain Cee Bee in peak condition ahead of the Kevin McManus Bookmaker Grimes Hurdle at Tipperary, a race he won last year.
"He's in great form and we're looking forward to it," said Harty. "The ground will be a bit softer this time but it's the same for all of them so it's fingers crossed."
