Point-to-point preview

The Easter weekend is a busy time, with five fixtures between tomorrow and Tuesday. There are only 18 racing days between now and the end of the season, so many of the award categories will take shape in the next week or two.

At Quakerstown tomorrow, Peter Flood's Nan Donovan looks a live option in the mares maiden having shown a lot of promise on her debut at Durrow recently.

River Of Time could be the one to beat in the winners' race, while Goline should take the geldings maiden.

In the opener at Stradbally, Willie Codd could saddle two live chances with The Well Road and Skylander both coming here with recent form and this could prove crucial. In the confined race, The Rebel Panther could come out on top. At his best, he will take all the beating.

Laser Hawk will be the likely favourite in the winners race and the concluding mares maiden could go to the Peter Fahey-trained Tiger Bay Lady.

The Waterford meeting at Ballydurn could see Tom Keating saddle the opening winner with Globalisation.

Toms Girl and Merry Way will do battle in the mares maiden and both have strong claims, while Young QC, which has been second twice and fell going well on another occasion looks set for a change of luck in the concluding maiden.

Number of the week
