AIDAN O'BRIEN is Coral's 5-4 favourite to regain the British Flat trainers' championship, ahead of the start of the new season this week.

The master of Ballydoyle has been Britain's champion trainer on four occasions, but his last title was back in 2008.

Richard Hannon has been champion in 1992, 2010 and 2011 and is a 2-1 shot to regain his title.

Reigning champion John Gosden is rated a 10-1 chance to retain the championship.

Coral's David Stevens said: "Aidan O'Brien looked to have the title all but sewn up last year having won the first four Classics, but John Gosden fought back superbly in the second half of the season to win his first championship, although he faces an uphill task to repeat the feat, with the Ballydoyle maestro once again in pole position in our opinion.

"Richard Hannon is his closest rival at this stage, with Toronado a rare Investec Derby hope for the veteran trainer."
