moore on road to recovery
Ryan Moore remains hopeful of making it back to the racecourse this season following the frightening pile-up at Goodwood which put him on the sidelines.
Already, the former champion jockey has begun a course of physiotherapy in an attempt to make an early comeback.
The sheer frustration of watching on as rivals take winning rides would drive most injured jockeys mad, but Moore appears to have the ideal temperament to cope.
"I can't do too much. The idea is to keep mobile and to take it steadily," said Moore.
"Basically, I dislocated my shoulder backwards. I also broke the top part of my arm, and my thumb.
"Everybody gets falls. I haven't set a comeback date to aim for. The most important date for me is when I have my next round of X-rays at the end of the month. Only then will I know how hard I can push myself."
