Val De Ferbet's victory in the Suir Valley Chase sealed a Clonmel double for Andrew McNamara.

Gold Cup-winning jockey Robbie Power was positive from the outset and Val De Ferbet (2/1) steadily turned the screw on My Murphy in the closing stages to seal a 13-length verdict.

McNamara said: "His jumping was as good as I've ever had him put in. I'd be lost without Dillon (Maxwell) who helps with his schooling - hopefully someone doesn't rob him off me now!"

Maxwell rode his first winner when driving out McNamara's Stay With It (9/2) to claim the Vee Handicap Hurdle.

The young claimer, who was only just denied on the 10-year-old at Punchestown last month, produced him with a perfectly-timed challenge to beat Fridaynightlights by four lengths.

The hot streak of Gordon Elliott and Jack Kenney shows no sign of coming to an end and the trainer-jockey combination landed a 25/1 double through Third Opinion and Strike Is Back.

Liz Lalor also saddled a 32/1 brace. Nicat's Benefit (2/1) was an impressive winner of the Ardfinnan Maiden Hurdle while Rasher Counter (10/1) came home strongest in the bumper.
