Heavy rain has caused havoc with the schedule across the water.

Haydock's evening card was abandoned yesterday because of waterlogging after an inspection.

A further 10mm of overnight rain left conditions unraceable at the track, which had already been hit by the downpours of the past week.

Uttoxeter's card was also lost to waterlogging, as was today's card at Newton Abbot.

Leicester's meeting tomorrow evening needs to survive a 2pm inspection today.

At Newbury yesterday, the Ralph Beckett-trained Antonia De Vega put herself in the frame for next month's Kerrygold Irish Oaks after sweeping to victory in the Johnnie Lewis Memorial Stakes.

Making her seasonal debut, Harry Bentley's mount (4/1) stayed on strongly to beat Star Terms by four lengths.
