Jessica Harrington is desperate to get a racecourse school into Sizing John before a possible appearance at the Dublin Racing Festival.

The 2017 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner has not run since December of that year and the prevailing good ground is playing havoc with his comeback.

Harrington is keen to run her charge in either the Ladbrokes Dublin Chase over an extended two miles or the three-mile Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown next week.

"Sizing John remains in great form, but it has been a very frustrating season to date, as I have to yet get a racecourse school into him due to the good ground," she said.

"I am going to see if I can get him away next week to a racecourse somewhere, so that we can get that school over fences into him.

"The weather will determine where he'll go. I had hoped to get him to Navan, but it's still good there, so we'll have to give that a miss.

"Robert (Power) rode him work up The Old Vic at the Curragh on Friday morning and he was very happy with him."
