Fogarty keeps his cool to land Cork double

MIKEY FOGARTY landed a 28/1 double with De Benno and Dont Back Down on the amateur riders' card at Cork.

Fogarty's first came on the well-backed De Benno (8/1) in the Fegentri World Championship Handicap Hurdle.

The grey shrugged off the favourite Coolnagorna Giggs by a length and a quarter to give trainer James Grace just his second winner since he renewed his licence a year ago after an extended absence.

Fogarty then scored in the Gigginstown House Stud colours for Gordon Elliott on 9/4 favourite Dont Back Down in the Beginners' Chase.

Michael Winters, who has enjoyed great success with Rebel Fitz and Misunited, sent out Nevskij, (3/1 favourite) to make all under Ciaran Fennessy in the maiden hunter chase.
