Do the double

The stats fans will know that Spain have never beaten France in a competitive game -- but I reckon that's set to change tonight. France's 2-0 defeat to Sweden put an end to their unbeaten run of 23 and although Spain had to work hard against Croatia, they have enough strength in the squad to book a semi-final spot against close neighbours Portugal. At the time of writing, Paddy Power offer the most generous odds on a Spanish win at 17/20.

Not the most exciting race in the world, but Standing Strong is worth a punt at 3/1 in the Premier Financial Services Maiden Stakes (7.35 Lingfield). He flopped on his handicap debut last time, but the soft ground was to blame and that race can be overlooked.
