Do the double

Gaelic football

There's some intriguing championship action this weekend and the bet that stands out most is Boylesports' 3/1 for Wicklow to beat Meath at Dr Cullen Park tomorrow.

The Royals have been in a right mess of late and to cap it all off, Louth sent them packing for Division 3 in the league last month.

While the Garden County have troubles of their own, Meath's sharp slide has been alarming and I'm struggling to figure out why the layers have them as short as 4/11.

The Godolphin-owned Cavalryman looks the pick of the bunch for the Listed Stowe Family Law LLP Grand Cup at York (3.10).

While it's a couple of years since he's found himself in the winner's enclosure, he's been holding his own in Group company over in Dubai, and this is a step down in class back on British soil.

Frankie Dettori takes the reins and early odds of 11/8 are a shade too generous.

• Last week's double was successful on both legs at an overall price of 9/2.
