DO THE DOUBLE

Soccer:

Liverpool came out on top in both Merseyside derbies last season, but things were quite different for the Reds back then and this whole saga with Tom Hicks and George Gillett has taken its toll on the players and fans. It will be interesting to see what moves will be made in the January transfer window and some of the squad are sure to jump off what looks like a sinking ship. Everton should be able to take advantage of a demotivated and emotionally tired Liverpool side tomorrow and are taken to land the double chance bet (win or draw) at 4/9 with Coral.

Horse Racing:

Candys Girl is not certain to appreciate the step up in distance to seven furlongs in the Totequadpot Median Auction Maiden Stakes (4.0 Catterick), but the filly has put in some reasonable perform-ances in her three races to date, most notably when beaten a short-head by Glen's Diamond on her second start. I expect her to improve and early odds of 7/4 seem a shade too high.
